Avocado’s nutrient density gives your lips instant rejuvenation and helps cleanse stressed out skin. Avocado also protects your lips against environmental factors (pollution, smog).

Elderberry Extract: is derived from the purple berries of a small, leafy shrub. Elderberry extract is the natural preservative we use in our lipsticks. We rely on nature for preservation and choose to avoid harmful synthesized preservatives. Elderberry extract helps to resist microbial contamination and control microbial growth while simultaneously offering antioxidant and conditioning benefits to the skin.

Organic Grapeseed Oil : Our organic, cold-pressed grapeseed oil comes from pressing the seeds of organic grapes. Grapeseed oil is an important source of omega 6 fatty acids and antioxidants that trap free radicals. Grapeseed oil offers shine and gloss to our natural lipstick and helps lubricate and moisturize your lips for all day wear.

Organic Castor Seed Oil : Our virgin castor oil is cold-pressed, organic and GMO free. Castor oil was one of the world’s first medicinal oils. Castor seed oil is created by pressing the seeds of the Castor plant. Castor oil is loaded with triglycerides and fatty acids. The fatty acid, ricinoleic acid (which makes up about 90% of castor seed oil) helps inhibit the growth of virus’ and molds, keeping your lips and our natural lipstick bacteria free. Castor seed oil is also a great skin protector and moisturizer.

Organic Coconut Oil : Our raw coconut oil is extracted from organic tropical coconuts without the use of chemicals or heat. This preserves the natural enzymes and vitamins in our coconut oil. Coconut oil is important in hydrating, conditioning and softening your lips as it naturally clears away dead skin cells. Coconut oil is also known for its natural antibacterial and antifungal properties which keeps lips healthy.

Orange Essential Oil : We use orange oil to make your lips smell naturally sweet. Orange essential oil is best known for its uplifting properties. The smell of orange helps to calm the mind and allow deep relaxation. Orange oil is also great at soothing dry, irritated and chapped lips.

Organic Candelilla Wax : Our vegan alternative to beeswax, candelilla wax is produced from the wild grown Candelilla shrub. The candelilla shrub grows naturally in Mexico and the Southwestern United States. Candelilla wax is beneficial to your lips as it retains lasting moisture and keeps both your lips and our natural organic lipstick smooth.

Mineral Powder Pigments : Axiology believes in using only natural minerals for our colors. These pigments include iron oxides, mica and titanium dioxide. These pigments are from the earth and are approved for use in cosmetics. Our goal is to avoid all synthetic colors and pigments to produce what we believe is the safest lipstick for your lips. Our iron oxides are safely sourced and do not come in nanoparticle form, as nanoparticles have been shown to penetrate cells and the blood stream and are also harmful to animals.
