You can also manage your subscription by logging into your customer account on this website, going to your past orders, and clicking "Manage Subscription".

Due to the nature of our product, we are unable to offer returns or refunds, but we are happy to replace any item that is defective or damaged. Please email regarding your damaged product with a photo to orders@axiologybeauty.com

As a small, environmentally conscious beauty brand, we have a no-returns policy for several important reasons:

Product Safety & Hygiene

1. Once a product leaves our facility, we cannot guarantee it hasn't been opened or tampered with
2. Even unopened products may have been exposed to varying temperatures or conditions
3. For customer safety, returned products cannot be resold

Environmental Impact

1. Returned products must be disposed of as waste
2. This creates unnecessary environmental waste from both the product and packaging
3. Additional carbon footprint from return shipping

Sustainability Goals

1. We produce in small, carefully planned batches to minimize waste
2. Returns would force us to overproduce to account for potential returns
3. This goes against our commitment to sustainable manufacturing

Small Business Context

1. Unlike large retailers, we can't absorb the costs of destroyed products
2. Our small-batch production means every product counts
3. We focus on quality control and detailed product descriptions to ensure customer satisfaction from the first purchase

Our fulfillment and processing time is 1-3 days and once shipped, packages can take between 1-5 business days.

Yes, our products are certified vegan and cruelty free by PeTA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). We do not use any animal-derived ingredients in our products nor do we test our products on animals or sell to countries that test products on animals.

Axiology products do not contain lanolin which is typically derived from sheep wool. While shearing sheep is not harmful, using this ingredient usually supports an industry that causes suffering and harm to sheep and even shortens their lifespan.

Axiology products do not contain carmine. Carmine (or Cochineal) is crushed up insects used for pigments in makeup. We use child labor free, synthetic mica instead.

Axiology products do not contain any beeswax. Bees use their wax to build their hive so we use vitamin E oil instead.

Our products are not officially certified gluten-free but none of our products contain gluten. Our Vitamin E oil is sunflower and soy derived.

Axiology is completely palm-oil free. We do not use any ingredients that have palm oil derivatives in them.

We do not use any fragrances in our products. Balmies, Multi-Sticks, Shape Sticks, Fungdation and Unscented Lip Balm are completely fragrance-free. 

We do not use nano-particle sized pigments in our products.

We do not use any synthetic preservatives in our products but we do use natural preservatives which are elderberry extract and neem oil.

Our mica comes from a supplier that supports organizations such as “Made in a Free World”, an organization that works with mines to get children out of mines and into schools. We use no pigments from mines in India or South Africa.

Grouping pigments under “may contain” allows us to streamline our packaging and use a single ingredient list for multiple shades. Manufacturing a unique box for each lipstick shade would be cost prohibitive for a small business like ours and force us to limit our shade range.

 24 months for Multi-Sticks, Balmies, Shape Sticks, and Lip Balm. 12 months for Fungdation.

Our Multi-Sticks, Shape Sticks, Lip Balm and Fungdation tubes are made from paper. This means the tube and the box can be recycled. Just make sure the tube is cleaned out. 

Our Balmies are tube-free, so when done simply recycle the wrapper and the box.

Our Multi-Stick, Shape Stick, Lip Balm and Fungdation packaging is made from forest-stewardship paper. The paper is harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious, and economically viable.

Our Balmies are plastic-free and tubeless. 

All secondary box packaging is made out of recycled paper trash and can be recycled and/or composted. Learn more about our boxes here.

Our multi sticks are our old lipsticks re-categorized and of course in new plastic free packaging. Since our formulas are so gentle and clean, they can be worn anywhere on the face.

Coconut oil and avocado oil make our our Multi-Sticks soft and hydrating. Kokum butter and sunflower wax give our Balmies a dryer, more matte feel. If you have drier skin, we recommend Multi-Sticks, and if you have oily skin, we recommend Balmies.

Balmies are zero waste! That means we ditched the crayon tube and cap in order to create a product that doesn’t produce any trash. Instead, Balmies live in their recyclable carrying case.

It’s an optical illusion! Balmies are actually the same amount of product as a regular lipstick at .12 oz. They just look small cause they’re naked!

No sharpening these babies. Just keep using them like you would your lipstick. The tip may disappear but the silky smooth texture will easily glide onto your eyes, lips and cheeks.

Nope. The red carrying case made from recycled paper waste protects Balmies from drying out. Also, Balmies are made with hydrating ingredients such as plum and hemp oil that lock in moisture and give them a smooth matte finish.

You can hold the end of the Balmie with one hand and use a brush or your finger to grab product from the other and apply with finger or brush. This video does a good job of explaining.

The application method can influence both the look and feel of your makeup. Using your fingers allows the warmth of your skin to soften the product, helping it blend easily for a smooth, natural finish with minimal product waste. A foundation brush offers more precision and can provide anything from sheer to full coverage, depending on your technique and brush type.

For light to medium coverage, a fluffy brush works well; for fuller coverage, opt for a dense brush. Picking up Fungdation with your fingers or brush gives you more control over how much you use and allows you to build coverage gradually. Applying directly from the tube is faster but usually results in more product on the skin right away, leading to fuller coverage with less flexibility. Depending on your desired look, you can choose the method that works best for your routine and finish preferences.

Yes, the Fungdation works beautifully on mature skin. We recommend picking up the product with your fingers or a brush rather than applying it directly from the tube. This gives you better control over coverage, too much product can settle into fine lines and create an overly full-coverage look. Proper prep is key! Make sure your skin is well-hydrated and prepped before application for the most seamless, natural finish.

The Fungdation is excellent for dry skin thanks to its hydrating ingredients and nourishing oils that keep your skin feeling soft and smooth. If it starts looking a bit heavy or shows off texture you'd rather hide, try a gentle exfoliation or a hydrating mask before application, this really helps create a smoother base for your makeup to sit on.

The Fungdation is perfect for sensitive skin! The formula has gentle, nourishing ingredients that won't irritate your skin. It’s also non-comedogenic, making it suitable for acne-prone skin.

Apply SPF as the last step in your skincare routine and let it fully absorb before applying your Fungdation. Think of it as the ultimate protective base for your makeup!

Prepping your skin is essential for flawless Fungdation application. For best results, maintain a balanced complexion by exfoliating and keeping skin hydrated. A simple routine of cleansing, applying a targeted serum, moisturizing, and using SPF creates the perfect canvas, as your makeup will only look as good as the skin underneath.

After applying your Fungdation, you have three setting options: leave as is for everyday wear (especially good for dry skin or casual days); use transparent finishing powder to control shine and extend wear (ideal for oily skin or long days); or apply a setting spray for a natural, locked-in finish. For maximum staying power, you can combine powder and setting spray, using powder for oil control and setting spray for a skin-like glow.
